General:
- PTSA Reflections Art competition deadline for entries is October 11. Drop off entries in collection box in the Main Office.

Clubs and Meetings:
- The Gay-Straight Alliance meets tomorrow at lunch in room 33 of the Tower Bldg. All are welcome. (Rivera)
- New Student Club meets today in the SSRC. Come to meet new people. (Singares)
- Spirit Club meets today at lunch in room 1706. Come support Paly by joining in on Spirit activities and get your Spirit card. (Hori)

College and Career:
- Volunteers are needed at the Gamble Garden Community Day, Saturday, Oct. 7 from 11 am to 3 pm. More info in the CCC. (Sinton)
- ACE Mentor Program applications are being accepted now. If you are interested in Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering, this program for you. It’s twice a month after school. Get more info in the CCC. (Sinton)
- Here’s a special opportunity for anyone interested in a health-related career; job shadowing at Stanford Hospital. For information come to the CCC next Wednesday at lunch. (Sinton)
- College Interviews from the Inside Out Thursday, October 11th, SSRC – lunch (12 – 12:40 p.m. ) Paly parent Doug Shaker has been interviewing candidates for Yale for the last 10 years. He will describe the interview process and its place in Ivy League admissions. He will also talk about what college interviewers are looking for and how to prepare for a college interview. Questions and answers afterward.
- COLLEGE REP VISITS You must have teacher's permission one day in advance to attend. Pick up a form in the CCC or download from paly.net/college and bring it with you the day of the visit. You must present the permission form at the start of the visit; it is signed at the end of the visit for you to return to your teacher. A C&CC volunteer will also need you to give your name for the Attendance Roster that excuses your absence.
