Kenyon College – Trustee Opportunity Travel Grant - Juniors and Seniors of first generation and other underrepresented students interested in visiting Kenyon College in Gambier, OH. Grant provides financial travel assistance to students from underrepresented backgrounds to determine if Kenyon College is a good fit for them. Applicant must provide copy of recent transcript. Johnson & Wales University – Chancellor’s Scholarship - Seniors who are interested in attending Johnson & Wales University. Metro PCS Community Scholars - Seniors attending public school in the SanFrancisco bay area counties who have demonstrated exceptional involvement in volunteerism and community service in addition to academics. Scholarships are awarded for full-time study at an accredited two or four year institution of student’s choice. $1000 scholarship awards. California State University at Long Beach- President’s Scholars Award Program - Seniors who are interested in attending Cal State Long Beach who are National Merit finalists or semi-finalists. California State University at Chico- President’s Scholars Competition - Seniors who are interested in attending Cal State Chico. Criteria includes minimum 3.7 G.P.A. or minimum 3.5 G.P.A. and a minimum 1200 combined SAT or 27 ACT. Applicants will be sent invitations to compete. Ten $12,000 scholarships ($3,000/yr). Candidates must apply for admission during the October or November 2007 initial filing period.President’s Scholars Competition day is Sat. February 23, 2008. UC Davis- Cal Aggie Alumni Association Leadership Scholarship - Seniors who are interested in attending UC Davis. Submit UC application by 11/30/2007 and select box indicating you are applying for the CAAA Leadership scholarship. The CAAA awards leadership-based scholarships of up to $10,000 to incoming UC Davis freshmen and transfer students. Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program - Seniors within a Comcast community who have a 2.8 min. GPA and have best demonstrated a commitment to community service, positive attitude, leadership skills and academic achievement. Recipients receive a one-time award of $1000. Candidates must submit an origional application, high school transcript, a letter from a teacher, counselor or principal and a letter of recommendation from a community service mentor or adult supervisor. Vanderbilt University- The Ingram Scholarship Program - Seniors who are interested in attending Vanderbilt University and who are able to demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service and the maturity and initiative to promote positive social change. Boston University/Alexander Graham Bell Scholarship - Seniors with strong science and math backgrounds who are interested in attending Boston University’s College of Engineering. Each winner will receive a renewable scholarship for full tuition. Recipients generally will have a GPA of 3.9 or higher and SAT score of 1501 (Writing 730) or ACT score of 34.
