Advisory:
This week’s Advisory is for L-Z FRESHMEN and ALL SENIORS. (Deggelman)
General:

1. CSF sign-ups continue in room 402 before or after school and at brunch.  Bring $2 and a copy of your report card/transcript. (Duffy)

1. There will be a mandatory meeting for all those interested in joining CSF this Thursday, 9/17.  We will be brainstorming and discussing plans for the year to come. (Duffy)

3. Parking enforcement by the city will begin next Monday, Sept. 21. Get your parking permits while the getting’s good. Students can pay for permits at the Auditor’s office – brunch, lunch and after school. Staffs parking permits are available in the Main Office.
4. All boys of all grades interested in playing basketball this year should meet in the Big Gym tomorrow, Wed., Sept. 16 at lunch. (Olah)
5. There is an ASB General Meeting at lunch today in the SSRC. All club presidents must attend and everyone else is welcome. Agenda items include Club Day, the Rep System and the Attendance Policy. (Launer)
6. If you took Humanities with Mrs. Launer, please pick up creative projects in the SAO/Leadership classroom. (Launer)
7. All Paly juniors will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, Oct. 14 during the school day. Registration can be done at the Auditor’s Office or via Paly’s web store on http://www.paly.net. The fee is $30 (checks made payable to PAUSD). Any students other than juniors wishing to take the PSAT will need to make arrangements with another testing location (http://www.collegeboard.com/students/testing/psat/about.html). (Feinberg)

1. Would you like to read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins the first book selection for Palo Alto Reads, the Paly Library book club? Get a free copy of this action packed fantasy and join the discussion by dropping by the library to sign up.  You can also send Mrs. Kellerman an email at rkellerman@pausd.org. (Kellerman)
2. ASB is looking for a freshman to serve as their class site council representative.  This site rep will attend site council meetings twice a month and can be an active member of ASB and events that it plans.  If interested, see Ms. Launer in the SAO ASAP. (Launer)
3. Have you taken your school picture yet?  If not, make-ups are on Sept. 29th.  If you don’t get it taken, it will not be in the yearbook. (Wixsom)

2. Scholarships: Davidson - Bryan and Norris Athlete Scholarships  - Scholar athletes interested in attending Davidson College, who are strong leaders, both in the classroom and as athletes. DEADLINE:  9/15/2009 University of North Carolina - Morehead-Cain Scholarship - Seniors who have excelled in the areas of leadership, scholarship, moral force of character, and physical vigor. DEADLINE:  9/15/2009 Questbridge National College Match - Seniors with strong academic achievement from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Questbridge College Match Scholarships cover tuition (up to $40,000/year) and room and board (up to $15,000/year at partner colleges.  DEADLINE:  9/30/2009
