General:

  1. The Paly –Gunn football game is tonight at Gunn. Tickets for students with ASB cards only will be on sale in Attendance today. All others must purchase tickets at the gate. (Berkson)
  2. Please come to the Quad at lunch today for the National Coming Out Day celebration. We will have music, dance, cheerleaders, and a fun activity. All are welcome. (Rivera)
  3. All students are invited to come to the Photojournalism Forum TODAY in the theater. Get there early for good seats. The event starts at the beginning of lunch. (Wixsom)
  4. Students and staff, come to the SAO during lunch on Thursday to purchase Paly sweatshirts, shirts, crewnecks and thermals. Be outfitted with the latest and greatest Paly attire for football games and other Paly events. The Grand Opening is on Thursday, October 15 but come by the SAO before that during lunch or 7th period to pick up Paly gear. (Launer)

Clubs and Meetings:

  1. Cancellation! The GSA will not meet today. Instead, come out to the deck to celebrate National Coming Out Day.  (Rivera)
  2. The American Disaster Relief Club has a general meeting today at lunch in P4. All members must attend. (VDB)

College and Career:

  1. Mark your calendars for Palo Alto’s annual College Fair. This year the fair is at Paly on October 12 from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. Over 100 colleges and universities will be represented. At 7:30 there will be a financial aid workshop in the Dance Studio. Encourage your parents to join you. (Erber)
  2. Applying for the President’s Award for community service? Applications are available in the CCC, deadline is next Friday, 10/16 for the December ceremony. (Owen)
  3. Palo Alto Medical Foundation Explorer’s Post lecture series Monday. October 12, 7 pm Dr. Richard Greene – Pediatric Cardiology PAMF. Discusses heart defects/newborns/methods of diagnosis. (Gyves)
  1. College Rep Visits:  Get your teacher’s permission one day in advance if you are missing class. Pick up a form in the CCC, or download it from paly.net/college and bring the signed form with you the day of the visit. (Cernobori)
