General:

  1. Seniors, mid-year transcript request forms are now available at the Registrar’s counter in the Guidance Office. The due date is 1/15/10. Early in = Early out. (Brown)
  2. Become even better at what you love!! California State Summer School for the Arts offers summer programs in Creative writing, Film & Video, Visual Arts Animation and Theater Dance Music. For more info check out the Contest Table in the English Dept. lobby today. (Breu)
  3. Hey freshmen, gear up for finals by coming to the Cocoa and Cram sponsored by the Link Crew. Come grab a snack and jumpstart your studying with tutors and teachers on Wednesday, Jan. 13 from 3 to 5 pm in front of the Library. (Johnson)
  4. Buy Winter Formal Dance tickets from the Auditor today through Friday at brunch, lunch and after school. Tickets are $5 w ASB card, $10 w/o. The theme this year is Winter Wonderland. Wear white and silver. (Launer)

College and Career:
Earn volunteer hours. Mentors needed t0 work with 6th and 7th graders. Do you like working with children? Are you dependable and enthusiastic? Interested in changing a kid’s life? If so, then JLS needs you. We are looking for high school students who can spend an hour or more per week mentoring 6th and 7th graders. Training provided.
