Advisory:
Remember Wednesday was a NON-Block day and today is the “Wednesday” block-day schedule (1,3,5,7 period) with Advisory at 9:50. During Advisory FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES will meet with TA’s and ALL JUNIORS will meet in the theater. (Deggelman)
General:

  1. AP exam registration opened Feb. 1 and continues through March 7. Each exam costs $110, payable at the Auditor’s or online at the Paly webstore. (Shepard)
  2. There will be a Black History Pan-African Flag-raising celebration today on the Quad. All are welcome. Did you know it was on this date in 1958 Clifton Wharton became first Black to head a U.S. embassy in Europe? Wharton was confirmed as ambassador to Romania. (Hernandez)
  3. Please check the library overdue and fine list, and if your name is on it pay the fine immediately! The lists are posted in the Tower Building and on the entrance doors to the Library. (Henry)
  4. Want to make a difference in the community? The City of Palo Alto needs your voice this weekend. Come to the Youth Forum on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 2 to 4 pm at 250 Hamilton Ave. PA. (Owen)
  5. Remember to wear GREEN and WHITE on Wednesday and show your school spirit at the rally. ASB will be awarding a prize in each department for the class with the highest percentage of our school colors. (Brimhall)
  6. There will be an all-school rally on Feb. 10 and so a special schedule that day with an extra-long 4th period. Report tot he Big Gym with your 4th period class and find your advisory. (Launer)
  7. American Math Contest (AMC) is Tuesday, Feb 9 from 7:45 – 9:40 am. Regular classes will commence at 9:55. See schedule below. (Killian)

College and Career:
A Summer Opportunity Fair will be held on February 7 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Menlo School (in the gym).
