General:
1. Paly Service Day is coming to our school again this Spring. There will be projects on campus throughout the day, along with a field trip to more than 20 local nonprofits. We NEED your FEEDBACK to make this day great! Please watch your email for a survey on Naviance and complete the survey by Sunday night. All ideas will be considered. (Owen)
2. Do you like trivia? Come to the Paly library after school today or to the Main Library on Saturday for Friends of Millard Fillmore. (Lim)
College and Career:
1. Paly Community Scholarship Application is due Feb. 3. The sponsors of various community scholarships ask Paly’s Scholarship Committee to nominate and/or select students to receive awards. To be considered for these scholarships, students must complete the community Scholarship Application, print it out and return it to Ms. Cernobori by Feb. 3. (Cernobori)
2. Go Ask Alice. Alice Erber, college advisor, will be in front of the Student Center at lunch today to answer your questions about college. She will have college swag to give away. Don’t miss it. (Erber)
3. “Where There Be Dragons” Course Director, Adelaide, will be at Paly in front of the Student Center for a lunchtime visit on Monday, Feb. 6. Stop by her table to say hello and pick up a catalogue. (Erber)
4. Come learn about some college & career exploration tools and resources in Naviance. Students and parents are welcome to come to the Naviance demonstration, Tuesday, Feb 7 at 7 p.m. in the Library. Parents who have misplaced their Naviance registration codes, need passwords reset or who wish to link to multiple student accounts, please send an email to Mona Siegel (msiegel@pausd.org) referencing Naviance in the subject line and provide Parent’s full name, full names and year in school of all Paly students and description of the request. Clubs and Meetings:
1. AP Art Information meeting – Earn college credit for your photos. All students interested in the Photography media focus for the AP Art – come to room 101 at lunch on Wednesday, feb. 6 for a 10-minute meeting moderated by AP students. YOU could earn college credit for your photographs, a great opportunity for Journalism and Art students. (Wixsom)
