Shuttle and Buses to Paly

**Access and Circulation Map/Info, August 2014**

Students can use the City of Palo Alto Shuttle, the Stanford Marguerite TECH Shuttle, PAUSD Transportation, or VTA/samTrans bus networks to get to Paly.  Both the City’s Embarcadero Shuttle and Stanford’s Marguerite TECH Line shuttle are available for free to the public.  Below are links to three different public transportation options and a transit trip planner.   Bus information for VTP students is also included below.

City of Palo Alto Embarcadero Shuttle
If you use the City’s Embarcadero Shuttle to come westbound on Embarcadero, you will be dropped off across the street from campus.  Embarcadero shuttle riders should not cross Embarcadero at Town and Country but walk east to the pedestrian/bike bridge to enter campus via the re-opened gate along the Caltrain path. Schedule/Map

TECH Shuttle (Marguerite) and VTA Line 22
Students using the TECH shuttle or VTA’s Line 22 will be dropped off on El Camino Real at the VTA bus stop adjacent to Town and Country.  These students have the option of crossing Embarcadero at El Camino or walking to the pedestrian/bike bridge to enter campus via the re-opened gate along the Caltrain path.

Taking PAUSD Transportation to Paly – Pilot Program Starts this Fall for 9th grade students in the VTP Program
During the first semester of the 2014-2015 school year, PAUSD's Transportation department is piloting a program for 9th grade students in the Voluntary Transfer Program (VTP) who wish to take the PAUSD bus from East Palo Alto to Paly in the morning.  Students are able to take the PAUSD bus during the morning only and will continue to utilize the samTrans bus system for returning home in the afternoon.  These students will be joining the students on the route that also drops off at Jordan Middle School.  PAUSD Bus Schedule

As this is a pilot program, we cannot currently offer this service to 10-12 grade students; however, once ridership demand is established, PAUSD may reduce or expand this option as needed.

In order to take the PAUSD or the samTrans bus, students will need to pick up their FREE bus passes at the guidance office at Paly.   This pilot program will be evaluated at the end of 2014 and any changes to this program will be communicated with parents at this time. If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact the PAUSD Transportation Department at (650) 329-3982
