FORMAT

ABSENCES AND TARDIES

Absences: see student handbook. I comply with the school policy which is to drop students on

their sixth cut.

Tardies: natural consequences, unless someone requires an individualized attendance contract

MAKE-UP PROCEDURES

If you are absent due to "health":

1. You are expected to try to keep up with the material during your absence. This includes reading the textbook and getting notes and handouts from a classmate.

2. You are not responsible for missed quizzes

3. You have as many school days to catch up on older assignments as days you missed.

4. If you missed new material presented before a test, you’ll make an appointment for a make-up test. If you just missed the review, you’ll take the test the day of your return.

If you are absent for some other excused reason (sports, field trip, appointment, vacation, etc.), you must make arrangements PRIOR to the absence or you will receive a ZERO on the test or quiz missed.

If you are absent due to a "cut" or suspension, you will receive a ZERO on any test or quiz.

CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR

Generally, any deliberate actions that detract from an honest, open, and safe educational environment will not be tolerated. Be respectful, responsible and prepared and we'll all have a great year.

ACADEMIC HONESTY

Looking at another student's work OR allowing another student to look at your work

Talking without permission

Unauthorized notes, books or other information during an assessment

Talking to other students in another section of the course about the assessment
