WELCOME TO THE AUTO SHOP

Here is some basic information on the class:

A student may take auto up to 3 years.

The 1st year is based on the basics of the automobile. Identifying parts of the car, how different systems work, changing and doing simple maintenance repairs: oil changes, tire repair, jump start a battery. As the year goes on, Mr. Knight identifies the students who excel and gives them more challenging work; tune-ups, starting/charging system diagnostics, etc.

The second year is based around projects. Fixing up the '68 Camaro, the 74 BMW 2002tii, rebuilding engines, transmissions, brake systems etc. all are part of our curriculum. They are taught more advanced diagnostic techniques and problems, how to perform an alignment, and more. A 3rd year student is someone who enjoys working on cars and I can trust. He is given the big jobs that have taken time to learn and understand. He is my right hand man. Someone I can shoot an idea off of and he knows what I am talking about.
