Talk about a guy who can do it all! Mohammed specializes as a hurdler and sprinter, but last year he came out for XC to increase his fitness in the offseason. We weren't expecting anything from him going into the season, but then he had a tremendous first race at Gunn finishing 4th in the JV race within a minute of many of our varsity runners.

He then spent the Muslim holy month of Ramadan fasting and was unable to do much training or racing. Nonetheless, at the end of the season he returned to place 31st in the JV meet at Leauges, posting a solid time on the hilly Crystal Springs course - pretty good for a guy who hadn't done very many tough hills during the season!

On top of his running and his faith, Mohammed also has been Paly's Student Body President for the last two years, all while excelling in the classroom as well. Who knows what to expect of him for this XC season, but we're hoping to see him close out his Paly running career in triumphant fashion this year.
