Another perennially injured runner, Henry's penchant for hurting his ankle
hasn't kept him from growing into a determined, hard-working and FAST
runner. After some early success on the track and a breakout sophomore
year XC season, Henry put in some good summer
mileage before last Fall, only to roll his ankle again and be forced to miss most of the season. Had he stayed healthy last year, he would certainly have been in contention for a Varsity spot.
After a rough winter, Henry got himself back into shape with some good, hard track workouts
in the Spring. To end his season he popped a solid 5:09 mile against Gunn and then got right into his summer work. He's
been showing up to summer practice most days and running hard with the alumni.
If he can stay healthy, it'll be interesting
to see how much a guy who ran a nine-miler with Scott at seven minute pace
will impact an already deep varsity team. |
