Take a look at Jeremy's times above... what do you notice?
Thats right! All Jeremy has done in high school is get faster, every season, on every course, over every distance... he has improved! While this is true about most of his fellow seniors, what makes it remarkable in Jeremy's case is that he has never had an un-interrupted season.
Last season, for example, at mid-season he was consistently running as the team's 3-4 runner (look at that Woodward time!), before his season was yet again cut short.
His misfortune continued into the spring and he was unable to train for most of the track season, yet he still managed to gut out a sub 5:00 mile. This summer he's on the east coast for a good part of the summer, but as an avid cyclist and CORE extra-ordinaire, we're expecting Jeremy to show up in August in good health and fitness. Hopefully the speedbumps are all behind him now, as a healthy Jeremy Jacob could be one of the keys to the team's bid for its first State Meet birth since 1990. |
