Hard work pays off, and Avi's track season proves it! A 6:23 miler during the XC season, he flirted with the 6:00 mark all track season, and then Avi popped his 5:57.25 against Los Altos and accomplished his season goal. The next week he chose to run the 2-mile against Gunn and did great breaking 13:00 in his first try.

A math whiz like so many of our young runners, Avi's used to crunching numbers quickly. But even so, he'll have a hard time keeping up with the way his times keep dropping. Part of a core of dedicated freshman who showed up daily and put in the effort and miles that resulted in an impressive Frosh/Soph team, look for Avi's training to pay off and produce times even he can't wrap his head around.
