Assessments

TESTS:
A) Tests will be given approximately once every other week. Absences on test days are always problematic. Please make sure you understand the following rules. If you are absent on a test day it will be your responsibility to:

1) Make sure the absence is excused. Please note that "other" absences are not considered excused. Planned absences require all work (tests included) to be done in advance (before you go). If you don't complete the work in advance, you earn a zero.

2) Make-up the test. If you miss only the day of the test you will be expected to take the test the day you return during the class period or during a prep on that day.

3) Cuts and unplanned absences earn zeros for everything you miss. Unplanned absences include (but are not limited to) family vacations that are not pre-planned.

If you are absent only on the day before a test day you will be expected to take the test on its scheduled day.

QUIZZES:
A) Quizzes will be given more often than tests and will count for less points than tests.
